The ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY CONTROL AGENCY (in french: AGENCE DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT ET DE LA MAÎTRISE DE L’ÉNERGIE) is the state’s operator to accompany the ecological and energetic transition. It is a public industrial and commercial institution under the joint supervision of the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.

In this context, ADEME aims to help inform local authorities and professionals, in order to improve the organization of urban freight transport, in particular with the aim of encouraging them to act for sustainable urban logistics.
